Mounts & floater frames
Photos usually look best mounted or framed simply, without fussy borders or ornate swept frames, these are best used for your collection of old-master oil paintings.
Paper or canvas glued to 6 or 12mm rigid black foam-core. When varnished and trimmed flush to the image this method produces a very light, simple and inexpensive way of Canvas prints & photo Display on a wall. Surprisingly effective, this simple method works well up to about A3. Larger sizes would need additional support such as a floater frame to keep them flat. Takes 1 or 2 days.

This is the name given to a contemporary style of framing where the image is block-mounted, then set into a frame from the front, slightly recessed, with a gap between the frame and image.
This produces a shadow around the mount giving a deep black border, which has the effect of beautifully setting off your image.
Frames are hand-made to fit your image and are stained to suit, a dark colour often works well but the choice is yours. Frames are normally finished with a wax polish.
Takes about 3 days.
